James F. Goodmon Jr. is president and CEO of Capitol Broadcasting Company Inc., headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Goodmon has worked in a variety of roles and across a multitude of CBC business units. The company has evolved into a diversified holding company that expands across a multitude of businesses, including local media, commercial real estate, satellite communications, and Minor League Baseball. In this role, he assumes operational responsibility for all Capitol Broadcasting Company divisions and is one of the leaders of the next generation of broadcasters.

In addition to his broadcast interests, Goodmon serves as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Board of Directors Charlotte Branch, Capitol Broadcasting’s Board of Directors and serves on the company’s Executive Committee.

He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and earned his M.B.A. at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Goodmon resides in Raleigh with his wife Anna and his three sons Fletcher, Watson, Walker, and daughter Frances.
